More than 1700 poets and artists in the 26 editions so far, dozens of free events every year: readings, performances, concerts, screenings, exhibitions, installations, meetings, guided tours.
A format exported to various countries including Belgium, France, Finland, Japan, Germany … this is much more than the International Poetry Festival of Genoa Parole Spalancate!
This year Parole Spalancate 2021 is one of the first Italian festivals to reopen to the public in presence, to reaffirm that poetry (and culture in general) bends but does not break…
From June 10 to 19 at Palazzo Ducale and other locations in Genoa, Parole spalancate will present poetry in all its forms and in relation to the other arts. Two special events: June 9 in Bogliasco and June 20 in the Villa Duchessa di Galliera in Voltri, plus previews on May 28 and 31.
But Parole spalancate 2021 does not end here: in September there will be a second part with some of the foreign poets who could not come in June and many other surprises.
